PlasmaDyn's DynaMAX M50iXD is a Multifunction 50 Amp Air Plasma Cutting Machine with Integrated DC 200 amp TIG Function & 200 amp Stick Welding capability. The DynaMAX M50iXD is PlasmaDyns' most economical Multifunction plasma cutting & welding machine. This is a commercial quality machine and enables the user to save money and space as it combines 3 machines into 1 reliable package. As a 50 Amp Plasma Cutter, this tool is easy to use as it features a Pilot Arc Start HV/HF Plasma arc starting circuit resulting in a plasma arc whose temperature approaches 30,000F (suitable for cutting virtually any metal !!) Pilot Arc means it will start an arc in MID-AIR!! An HF/HV spark gap circuit is used for DC TIG welding using a lower voltage higher current circuit. The stick welding function is ultra convenient as there is no need for gas or complicated setup, just touch and go! the M50iXD utilizes High Current IGBT Siemens "Infineon" transistors, a fullsize power supply with with six (6) 470uF capacitors (not the usual 4 capacitors that most other inferior machines have). This machine also uses industry standard FR4 epoxy coated circtui boards. Similar looking machines often use cheap fiberglass printed circuit boards. This machine is rated at 5/8" Cutting Capacity and 1/2" clean cut.
